STEM Racing is delighted to invite your school to apply for a place at the STEM Racing Centre of Excellence Silverstone Experience Day – Powered by Maaden, hosted at the Aston Martin Racing Technology Centre (AMRTC) in Silverstone on July 1st 2026.
Designed for teachers planning impactful enrichment for students aged 14-17, this hands-on event provides an inspiring introduction to challenge-based STEM learning in a real engineering environment. Your students will take part in practical activities, meet role models, and leave with clear next steps for taking part in the STEM Racing programme in school.
what’s Involved?
Providing students with a one-of-a-kind insight into how STEM is used in high-performance environments, the day will open eyes and expand minds - enabling attendees to explore career pathways across engineering, technology and innovation.
Teachers and pupils alike will also be provided with everything they need to know about competing in the 26/27 STEM Racing season; from how to sign up, how to gain access to equipment, and - most importantly - how to make their very own miniature F1 car!
Food, Travel & Safety
We want everyone to be part of this fantastic day, so cost won’t be a barrier. Transport must be organised by the school, but bursaries to support with this expense are available. Food will be provided onsite free of charge for all attendees.
As AMRTC is a live working campus, appropriate supervision of students is essential. Schools are responsible for maintaining a suitable teacher-to-student ratio (1:10), supervising students at all times - including during sessions, transitions, and breaks - and ensuring behaviour meets expectations in line with site instructions.
Schools must also provide any relevant medical, dietary, or accessibility information in advance, and ensure that any incidents are reported immediately to the programme lead on the day.
Itinerary
11:00: Arrival
Students arrive, register, and receive a tour of the famous Aston Martin Aramco Formula Team headquarters.
13:00: Let’s race!
Putting learning into action, students will work in teams to make a miniature car before taking it to the track.
12:10: STEM racing
Gain an insight into everything STEM Racing; from speaking with alumni to learning about Centres of Excellence.
15:45: close
Closing the day, students will make their way back to their transport by 16:00 and return to their schools.
12:40: Lunch
Held in the Brand Experience Centre, students and teachers will enjoy lunch in this fantastic venue.
12:00: welcome
The warmest of welcomes will be extended by Aston Martin Aramco Formula Team to begin the day.
