UK student teams delivered outstanding performances at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025 in Singapore, showcasing engineering excellence, creativity, and professionalism on the global stage.

SBA Unity Racing from Scarborough UTC led the UK’s success, securing an exceptional third place overall after four days of intense competition against 82 teams from around the world. The team also achieved second place in the Best Engineered Car Award, won the FIA Scrutineering Award, and earned nominations for both the Research & Development and Pit Display Awards. Team Manager Jack, aged 18, praised the team’s hard work and dedication, noting the significance of reaching the podium in such a competitive field.

VEGA Racing by ASAM, representing Linlithgow Academy, also made a major impact, winning the prestigious Team Identity Award supported by Scuderia Ferrari HP. The award recognised the team’s outstanding brand presence across their uniforms, pit display, and overall presentation. Team Manager Kirsty celebrated the achievement as a meaningful conclusion to their final year of competition.

Tori Veloci Racing (representing St Olave’s Grammar School) and Ventaurus Competitive (representing Harrow School) joined the UK contingent in delivering strong performances throughout the event.

Adding to the UK’s achievements, Parabolica from Ysgol Bro Edern in Wales won the FIA Women in Motorsport Award, celebrating their commitment to promoting inclusion, representation, and female leadership within motorsport and STEM.

In a career-defining highlight, students from Tori Veloci Racing, SBA Unity Racing, and Vega Racing by ASAM were three of the ten global students selected for the Komatsu Williams Engineering Academy, earning exclusive mentorship and development opportunities through one of motorsport’s most respected engineering pathways.

Hosted at Resorts World Sentosa, the World Finals brought together 83 teams from 34 countries, judged by a 90-strong panel of experts across STEM, motorsport, enterprise, and education. The event included engineering scrutiny, verbal presentations, racing challenges, and enterprise assessments - culminating in a spectacular awards celebration attended by over 1,000 guests.
Lunar from Brighton Grammar School in Melbourne, Australia, were crowned World Champions, followed by Blue Wolves from Germany in second place, with SBA Unity Racing proudly taking third.
