The United Kingdom will proudly be represented by five exceptional student teams at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025, set to take place in September on Sentosa Island, Singapore, alongside the Singapore Airlines Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. These teams will join an impressive grid of young STEM talent all vying for the honour and pride of their country to be crowned Aramco STEM Racing World Champions 2025.

Representing the UK:
Ventaurus Competative, Harrow School, London
Unity Racing, Scarborough UTC, Scarborough
Tori Veloci, St Olave's Grammar School, Orpington

Representing Wales:
Parabolica, Bro Edern, Cardiff

Representing Scotland:
Vega Racing by ASAM. Linlithgow Academy, Linlithgow

These talented students will compete against over 80 teams from more than 30 countries in a global showcase of innovation, engineering, and teamwork. The event brings together more than 900 participants – including students, teachers, media, judges, and organisers – for an unforgettable celebration of STEM education and international collaboration.

The Aramco STEM Racing World Finals is the pinnacle of STEM Racing, drawing together the best STEM Racing students from around the world to compete for the ultimate prize in this global competition, to be crowned STEM Racing World Champions. Reaching the World Finals has been a journey that teams will have been on for at least one year, and in many cases, two or three years. Their hard work and passion for the challenge of the competition has already brought them success in their home countries and next month the (name of country) teams will do battle with other national winners.

Tom Milner, STEM Racing ICC for the UK says of heading to Singapore with the teams:

“We are proud to have five formidable teams from England, Scotland, and Wales representing the UK this year. Each has worked tirelessly to reach the top of their national competitions and now continues their STEM Racing journey in Singapore, where they’ll compete on the global stage. Facing some of the brightest young minds of their generation, they will have strong challengers to the World Champions title, but I have every confidence that each team member will give their absolute best, and that is all anyone could ask for.”

Tom adds, “Beyond the competition, this journey is so much more than racing. It is an extraordinary learning experience and the adventure of a lifetime. The Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025 will bring together young people who share the same passion and drive, offering them the chance to build friendships, experience new cultures, and develop invaluable life skills. It is an opportunity that will create not just champions, but lasting memories and connections that will stay with them for years to come.”

STEM Racing, formerly known as F1 in Schools, challenges students to create their own Formula 1 team and to design, build, test and race the fastest miniature Formula 1 Car of the Future; a 15 cm scale model built from the STEM Racing modelling block and powered by a compressed gas cylinder. At the World Finals each team brings along a pit display, their cars and portfolios of their work in project management, enterprise, engineering, design and research, and delivers a verbal presentation for the judges. The cars race on a 20-metre track, with the cars covering the distance in around one second.

Andrew Denford, Founder and Chairman, STEM Racing, says of the upcoming Aramco STEM Racing World Finals, “This will be our 20th World Finals and the fifth time we’ve hosted the event in Singapore, so we know that we have a world-class venue and a great week to look forward to. I know how hard the students are working in the final stretch before the event, but I can assure every student that all the pressure and challenges they’ve had to overcome will have been worth it for the experience they will have in Singapore. This experience will not only test their skills, but they will also create lifelong memories, form friendships, and potentially open doors to future careers in engineering, design, and motorsport.

The event runs from 27 September to 2 October at Resort Worlds Sentosa, with four days of intense competition and a glittering Awards ceremony, culminating in a special treat courtesy of Formula 1 and Singapore Grand Prix: a behind-the-scenes pit lane walk and the opportunity to experience the Singapore Grand Prix weekend – a once-in-a-lifetime reward for their hard work and dedication.

The Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025 is proudly supported by title sponsor, Aramco, and key partners including Denford, Autodesk, Ansys, Singapore Grand Prix, DHL, Project Management Institute Educational Foundation, Mitutoyo, UCL Mechanical Engineering, Singapore Tourism Board and the FIA.
